Clothing brand Weird Fish rolls out new store concept

Casualwear brand Weird Fish has embarked on a project to revamp and boost its presence on the British high street. The strategy has recently seen the retailer roll out a new store design format at new and existing stores across the UK.

The latest Weird Fish store to open launched in Falmouth this week. Located on Church Street, the shop features a bright and modern design and joins two existing Weird Fish stores in Cornwall, in Newquay and Truro.

“This is the third store to open in Cornwall and we couldn’t be more excited to have opened in Falmouth. Cornwall is a great fit for us, because like the Cornish, we love being out and about – our clothing reflects our love of the great outdoors,” said John Stockton, managing director.

“We also have stores in Newquay and Truro and we’re looking forward to our Falmouth store adding to Cornwall’s retail offering. Cornwall is a thriving county, with a strong maritime heritage and so there’s plenty of synergy with Weird Fish and its relaxed and easy-going clothes.”

The new interior design concept has been also incorporated in the company’s new stores in Scarborough and Carmarthen, which opened last year, and rolled out in existing locations in Newquay and Spalding.

The company operates a total of 15 stores and is stocked in Debenhams, Blacks Leisure and Costwold Outdoor.
