The French fashion house jetted off to Tokyo, Wednesday, May 31, to showcase its Paris Cosmopolite 2016/17 Métiers d'Art collection in the Japanese capital. Chanel muse Lily-Rose Depp, who has just turned 18, took to the runway to present the collection which, like every year, pays homage to the exceptional skill of the artisans and workshops that contribute to the label's designs, including Lesage, Lemarié, Massaro and Maison Michel.

After being presented for the first time at the Ritz Paris in December 2016, the Paris Cosmopolite Métiers d'Art collection was this time shown in the Tsunamachi Mitsui Club in Tokyo.

Inspired by chic and refined Parisian style, the collection gives pride of place to the French fashion house's iconic jacket, revisited here with glitter, pearls, crystals and jewel-style buttons. Highlighting the work of all the craftspeople working behind the scenes in the label's ateliers, the collection also featured plenty of embroidery and pleating.

Elegant evening gowns were made from organza, chiffon and silk tulle, and finished with couture details like satin bows and sequins.
