Toronto-based outdoor brand Canada Goose has teamed up with Gore-Tex to release an exclusive four-piece rainwear capsule entitled Nomad, which debuted in Japan on Friday ahead of its global launch on April 8.

The collection, which includes the Nomad Jacket and the Nomad HyBridge Lite Jacket, both of which are available in men’s and women’s versions, seeks to provide protection from the elements for “urban explorers”, combining Canada Goose’s design capabilities with Gore-Tex’s latest technological innovations.

The Nomad Jacket is both waterproof and breathable, and also features a mesh that allows air to circulate around the wearer’s back and underarms.

The Nomad HyBridge Lite Jacket is a lightweight, water-resistant piece designed to keep the wearer warm and provide protection from light showers. The fitted jacket is made with Tensile-Tech fabric for freedom of movement and can be packed neatly into a pouch concealed in its left-hand pocket.

Each piece can be worn separately or together as part of a waterproofing system.

To celebrate the release of the collection, Canada Goose has launched a photo and video campaign featuring sound designer Kouichi Okamoto and calligrapher Aoi Yamaguchi. In the campaign video, the two Japanese artists are shown in a range of natural and urban environments, as they explain how rain has served as a source of inspiration for them in their respective disciplines.

The Nomad collection is now available to purchase in all of Canada Goose’s stores worldwide, as well as on the brand’s e-commerce website and in selected multibrand retailers.
