Calvin Klein Jeans has launched a kids line on the European market, releasing a series of pieces for 4 to 16-year-olds for its Spring pre-collection. Available in European department stores and on the brand's e-commerce website, the collection's 50 pieces for girls and 48 for boys are priced between 25 and 180 euros.

Taking inspiration from the West Coast surf and skate cultures of the 70s, the line trades on the brand's US roots. The offering includes head-to-toe denim looks and monogrammed pieces, but hoodies printed with Route 66 road signs also add an extra element to this first Calvin Klein Jeans kids collection, parts of which are made from enviornmentally responsable materials.

The brand's celebration of Americana comes on the heels of the announcement of parent company, PVH Corp's third-quarter results. The group's revenues failed to meet Wall Street estimates due to a disappointing performance at Calvin Klein, leading to shares in the company slipping 8% after hours on Thursday.

"We are disappointed by the lack of return on our investments in our Calvin Klein 205W39NYC halo business,” said PVH CEO Emanuel Chirico in reference to the label's premium line, which has recently been rehauled by Raf Simons, creative director at the brand since 2016.

Founded in 1968 by Calvin Klein and Barry Schwartz, the label reported sales of around $9.1 billion in 2017, with operations in 110 countries.
