Browns has launched the third iteration of A Family Affair, its content and community project, guest edited by bi-annual publications The Gentlewoman and Fantastic Man.

The curation features an interview with designer Simone Rocha - Browns

The new instalment of the bi-weekly “narrative” showcases leading voices from the worlds of fashion, music and entertainment to deliver a celebration of the home and the great outdoors.

The Gentlewoman features conversations with Irish fashion designer Simone Rocha, English actress Bel Powley, fashion visionary Martine Rose and pioneering pianist Rosey Chan.

The chats are accompanied by portraits by Esther Theaker, taken while observing social distancing. “These are our first interviews and portraits of the season,” the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Penny Martin said. “We were thrilled to step up to Browns’ challenge of creating them during the lockdown – it was such a pleasure to reconnect with old friends.”

Meanwhile, Fantastic Man’s curation looks to further explore notions from their latest issue with a new take on the great outdoors. Collaborators include Spencer Phipps of Phipps and Benjamin Huseby of GMbH, both brands which are championed by Browns as part of its Conscious offering.

Also featured are LGBTQ+ farmer and activist Ben Andrews, photographer and gardener Kuba Ryniewicz and drummer Moses Boyd. “We’re excited to be back with Browns, and to further explore the countryside, a theme that continues to fascinate us, on the Browns Men’s site,” editor in chief Gert Jonkers commented.

The Family Affair series has been previously guest edited by the British Fashion Council and the upcoming iteration will be produced by British stylist Ib Kamara.
