Birchbox has opened its first standalone store on London’s Carnaby Street this week, bringing the subscriber beauty service to life with a selection of in-store treats and events.

The space showcases the brand’s top 100 best-selling products and works as a platform for consumers to browse and discover both established and emerging beauty brands.

Birchbox subscribers receive a 15% discount when shopping in store, while people interested in testing out the service can create their own Birchbox by choosing five products – one from each category – to take home for £15.

The selection of beauty products in store includes brands such as Benefit, Spectrum Collections, Caudalie, Rituals, Klorane, Bumble and Bumble, and more.

The central London pop-up store is located at 43 Carnaby Street and will run until the end of January.

Birchbox has previously opened similar pop-up experiences in New York and Paris. The online monthly subscription service was founded in New York in 2010 and offers beauty lovers the option to receive a box of four or five selected samples of makeup or other beauty-related products each month.
