French elegant casualwear brand American Vintage has chosen the upmarket Chelsea area in London as the location for its second store in the city.

The shop is located at the famous King's Road and measures 1,200 sqft. It is spread over both the basement and ground floor level of 105 King's Road, and American Vintage will pay a rent of £135,000 per annum for the shop. The fashion retailer opened its inaugural London store at Westbourne Grove in London’s Notting Hill last year.

Richard Abbey from Chelsea-based Martin’s Properties, the freeholder, said: “We are pleased to see a new retail opening on the Kings Road and believe that this business will prove a popular addition to the area.”

American Vintage was created by Marseille-born Michael Azoulay, and has also just opened its first store in Italy. The company has a number of European stores, including ones in Germany and Sweden, as well as stores in Asia and the Middle East.
