A Jewellers makes its mark in Hatton Garden

A Jewellers is making the leap to brick-and-mortar retail. The celebrity jewellery brand, which counts rapper Aitch and Arsenal footballer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang amongst its fanbase, celebrated the opening of its first standalone boutique in London’s historic jewellery quarter on 6 February.

Located at 46 Hatton Garden, the 1000-foot store offers its custom diamond jewellery and watches, in addition to pieces from Rolex, Patek Philippe and Richard Mille, from an entry price point of £1,000.
 
The launch was attended by Camden Mayor Maryam Eslamdoust and a gathering of friends, clients and personalities including rapper AJ Tracey and Love Island star Francesca Allen.

“The opening means a lot to me; it’s been a long time in coming,” A Jewellers founder, Abtin Abbasi, said at the launch, admitting that the a flagship was “something that should have been done a long time ago.

“I’ve been a perfectionist with the whole interior of the shop, it’s taken a year and a half to do everything. It’s been a lesson for the future but now I’ve got it the way I want it,” he added.

“We’ve managed to get this far without having a walk-in shop,” the entrepreneur said, explaining that the success of the brand, formerly retailed via the office and showroom, has been boosted by its strong social performance "and word-of-mouth, for our amazing craftsmanship,” before revealing some of the brand’s upcoming projects: bespoke pieces for rapper Bugzy Malone and footballer Paul Pogba. "But I'll keep it at that!"

Founded in in 2008, A Jewellers steadily built online following via social media, garnering some 147,000 followers on Instagram today for its bespoke watches and diamond jewellery.  The flagship opening sees the brand move beyond its former showroom model, in a location offering a premium retail experience to shoppers. The company opened its first office in Hatton Garden in 2010.
