‘British Mall’ is JD.com’s latest initiative showcasing a wide range of authentic, high-quality products from leading UK brands.

The platform, a dedicated channel on JD.com’s online shopping site, follows a conference held in London to attract British labels to the China-focused platform.

Brands across sectors including healthcare, food and beverage, cosmetics, and sporting goods are now available for Chinese consumers to buy through the dedicated country marketplace.

British Mall was launched at a special event in London, where executives from JD.com were joined by representatives from Santander Group, Tencent, and Zitra.

“British Mall will be the shop window in China for the best of British products,” said Tony Qiu, General Manager of JD.com Worldwide. “Demand for high-quality, imported goods is soaring in China, and Chinese consumers know that British brands represent quality, style, and reliability.”

The platform offers UK retailers a window to reach millions of Chinese consumers, as well as a range of supporting services to help them maximize their sales, from customer targeting and marketing, to logistics and delivery, without needing to establish a physical presence in China.

UK brands already successfully selling online in China via JD.com include retailer Marks & Spencer, footwear brand Clarks and Liverpool FC.

JD.com also runs dedicated country malls for a number of other major markets, such as United States, France, Germany, Australia, South Korea and Japan.
