CELINE - Women's ready to wear show Spring/Summer 2018 in Paris

Artistic Director: Phoebe PhiloAtmosphere: A rounded space, like a bubble palace, with benches covered with coloured quilts, shaping the narrow corridors for the walkways of the models. For a collection more neutral in its tones, centred on basics that are completely re-thought and twisted by the English designer. Collection: All a story of volume and style. In the first few looks, the coat takes on a new dimension, such as the trench rolled so that is becomes a cape, or the trouser suits, very wide, which are made up of short jackets which end in long strips. Pleated skirts dominate, before it becomes a question of fringing, or long djellaba style tunics or ponchos including a singular model in pink suede. The scale gains around the tops, which become winged overcoats. To note: the sublime dresses, notably those which included wavy belts or those with a ‘marble’ print + details such as the XXL bag which resembles a scarf from far away + huge trainers on the feet.
