The new Zara shop will open at Westgate shopping centre, and spread over 39,500 sq ft across three floors. It will be located in the North Arcade of the mall, which has seen a raft of well-known retailers join the scheme following a £440m revamp of the estate in 2017.

Ted Baker, Uniqlo, & Other Stories, Hugo Boss, Mint Velvet and Reiss are some of the brands that make up the line-up at the shopping centre.

Joe Grimes, Inditex real estate director for the UK & Ireland, acting on behalf of Zara, said: “We are delighted to have agreed terms for this very exciting relocation and to be delivering our full product range to the Oxford market in the near future. We look forward to working with the Westgate Oxford Alliance in the coming months to secure an opening for this calendar year.”

Russell Loveland, senior portfolio director at Landsec, added: “Zara’s decision to relocate to Westgate reflects the centre’s position as the prime destination for retailers. We’re committed to providing the best experience possible for guests and are confident that Zara will further enhance the experience of visitors to Westgate.”

Zara currently trades in Oxford at Clarendon Centre.
