UK's Harrods to kick off sale with Elf

Harrods, the iconic British department store, has enlisted some musical help to kick off its sales this year.

On December 26th, the West End cast of Elf the Musical will perform highlights from the show at Harrods. Elf, which is based on the movie with the same name, has run for ten weeks in London's West End and been hailed as a smash hit. It has broken the box office record for the highest-selling show since the Dominion Theatre opened.

The producer of Elf the Musical, Michael Rose said: “We are delighted to go out with a bang, by joining together with one of the most famous brands in the world at this special time of the year for a unique performance for shoppers. Our cast is thrilled to be working with Harrods and we aim to provide shoppers with a fantastic Christmas surprise!”

The sale opens at 10am, but customers wanting to see the show are advised to arrive at 9.40am.
