Upmarket accessories label Sophie Hulme has chosen one of London’s most exclusive shopping destinations, the Burlington Arcade, for its first ever standalone boutique.

The 30 sq mt space, designed by architect MaichSwift, showcases the brand’s Resort 18 collection alongside a collection of core styles, including the Albion tote – the brand’s very first creation.

Best known for their clean lines and luxurious details, the handbags are showcased on display tables and shelves which have been created from a sustainable material made from recycled denim and cotton.

The space will be the brand's first global location offering the personalisation service. Available in-store, the service includes dedicated personalisation advice on methods, style, colour, selection and positioning.

Customers can create their own unique style by adding hand-painted details, cut-outs and embossing, or choose from the brand’s Resort 18 Leather Letters collection to embellish their bags. The Leather Letters are available across a palette of eight colours.

Sophie Hulme launched in London in 2007 and has quickly become a go-to brand for premium quality leather handbags with functional details and a clean aesthetic.

In the UK, the brand is stocked in Harrods, Selfridges and Liberty, and is available in other major multi-brands retailers across the world, including Bloomingdales Dubai in the Middle East, Myer in Australia and in Lane Crawford in Hong Kong.
