Schepers Bosman wins Mercedes-Benz Les Etoiles 2017 competition

Dutch design duo Schepers Bosman, consisting of Sanne Schepers and Anne Bosman, has won the 2017 Meredes-Benz Les Etoiles competition. The duo received a 20,000 dollar prize at the second annual design competition during Paris Fashion Week. The contest is developed by Mercedes-Benz France to support upcoming designers with the creation of their collections and brand.

Schepers Bosman shared the news on their Instagram page, captioning: “OMG we won Mercedes-Benz Les Etoiles 2017!!!! Un grand grand grand merci.”

The 2017 jury included couturier and Les Etoiles creative director, Alexis Mabille, and burlesque star Dita Von Teese, amongst others. This year’s design theme was ‘sportsmanship and Mercedes-Benz.’ The competition was open to designers from across the globe and resulted in nine finalists.

The design duo behind Schepers Bosman both graduated in 2011 from ArtEZ Institute of the Arts Arnhem with a BA in Fashion Design. Schepers continued her studies at the l'Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) in Paris, MA Fashion Design. Bosman graduated from Central Saint Martins London in 2014, MA Menswear Fashion Design. In recent years, Schepers won the G-Star Raw Talent Award and Bosman received two H&M Design Awards.
