Offering a range of homeware, fashion and gifts, the new store will be the brand’s first in the east of England and support its expansion plans beyond London.

Currently, the independent retailer has around 70 stores throughout the UK and Northern Ireland, including more than 20 in London.

In financial year 2017, the business made pre-tax profits of £4m on sales of £50m, while like-for-like sales increased by 10.6% over the year. The brand has come a long way since its creation in 1993, standing out for its thoughtfully designed and curated collection of own brand products.

Oliver Tress, founder and CEO, said: “We can’t wait to add to Intu Chapelfield’s already vibrant retail mix with our carefully-curated designs and fresh-thinking products. Intu Chapelfield offers the perfect location for us to expand and flourish within the affluent East Anglia region with our first Norwich store.”

Rebecca Ryman, regional managing director at Intu, added: “Intu Chapelfield is a very popular location for high-calibre brands like Oliver Bonas looking to expand their physical presence into the east of England and attract new customers for the first time.”

The Norwich shopping centre has also announced that Lush will expand into a larger 2,700-square-foot unit, while Norwich-based jewellery store Lisa Angel will open a permanent shop in the lower mall.
