The concession will be located on the third floor of Next, occupying almost 3,700 square feet with an extensive range of wedding dresses and bridal wear, plus eight changing rooms.

More WED2B concessions could open across Next’s store portfolio if the trial is well received by consumers.

The tie-up comes at a booming time for affordable bridal wear sales. With all dresses priced under £699, the offering will aim to attract cash-strapped consumers who nevertheless want to look glamorous on their wedding day.

In addition to gowns, the space will offer bridesmaids’ dresses and a wide selection of bridal accessories.

Todd Cassidy, founder and CEO of WED2B, said: “We’re excited to be opening our first concession in Manchester. It will be very interesting to see how this store performs. As with all of our 33 stores nationwide, brides-to-be can drop in whenever they like, take their time browsing our designer collections, and try as many dresses as they like before choosing and taking home their perfect gown that very same day.”

Next also sells a selection of wedding dresses online, with low-cost designs from brands including Lipsy London, French Connection, Little Mistress, Quiz and Phase Eight.
