Namacheko to launch in Dover Street Market locations worldwide

Namacheko, a Swedish/Kurdish menswear brand launched last year, has signed a distribution deal with Dover Street Market to launch in six locations worldwide.

Starting with the reopening of Rei Kawakubo’s flagship Dover Street Market in Ginza, Tokyo on Saturday 14 July, the partnership will see the store feature a special year-long installation curated by Namacheko.

The move is part of the brand’s meteoric rise following its launch by brother-and-sister duo Dilan and Lezan Lurr as tribute to their family and their life in Kirkuk, Iraq, in January 2017. The debut was followed by an invitation to present at Paris Fashion Week Men’s in June 2017 as part of the official schedule.

Since then, the brand has secured more than 38 stockists, including Opening Ceremony, The Broken Arm, Isetan and SSENSE.

With a preview of its AW18 collection, the Namacheko installation at Dover Street Market Ginza is presented against a green background with a decorative laser cut panel.

Namacheko has also launched in Dover Street Market stores in London, New York, Tokyo, Beijing and Singapore.
