Liu Jo expands into fragrance with Perfume Holding

Liu Jo has signed a long-term worldwide licensing agreement with Perfume Holding for the creation, development and distribution of a fragrance under the Liu Jo brand.

It is expected that the Italian womenswear label will not delay in releasing the fragrance, as it continues to pursue its brand expansion strategy. Over recent years, the company has seen profit shoot up from 97 million euros in 2005 to 273 million in 2012. Present in 44 countries, the brand is sold at 220 standalone stores and at over 4500 department stores and independent retailers.

Enrico Ceccato, CEO of Perfume Holding stated: “We strongly believe that Liu Jo has a tremendous potential of becoming soon a global beauty brand.” With offices in France and Italy and owned by investment funds Investindustrial and Orlando, Perfume Holding ‘s portfolio includes names such as La Perla, John Galliano and Ferrari.

Marco Marchi, Vice President and owner of Liu added: “We are proud to have finalised this licensing agreement, which projects Liu Jo in a highly fashion-sensitive market in terms of taste, consumer patterns and ability to build brand value.”
