The clothing company has hired Jonathan Cleaver as chief technology officer, and James Malysz as head of buying and merchandising, as part of a recruitment drive which has also included the hire of a new COO and a new CMO.

Jonathan Cleaver joins In The Style from Sofology, the national sofa retailer, where he was chief technology officer and has responsibility for the company’s omni-channel experience.

James Malysz has worked for several UK brands including AllSaints, JD Williams and JD Sports. Most recently, he was e-commerce merchandising manager at River Island. Prior to that, he held merchandising roles at All Saints and N Brown Group.

Adam Frisby, founder of In The Style said: “We are delighted to announce these recent appointments. Over the past twelve months, we have significantly strengthened the senior management team and grown our head office headcount from 53 to 74. These appointments will help us support the fantastic growth we’re experiencing.”

The company was founded in 2013 and has quickly gained nationwide recognition thanks to its royalty-based collaborations with celebrities and fashion influencers. It launches new collections every four to six weeks and lists 200 new items each week, ensuring that the business is always trend-led.

In 2016, it reported sales of £15m and  launched plus size and active wear ranges last year.
