Heron Preston showed his third season of men's and women's collections in Paris this week. The designer's FW18 show also debuted new categories of luxury handbags, footwear and eyewear, as well as collaboration capsules.

The women's collection includes crushed velvet bodysuits and a snakeskin leather dress. The designer debuted women's suiting as well as the first use of additional materials including luxury shearling and faux fur.

For Heron Preston's first handbag, the designer unveiled a dual flap shoulder bag in snakeskin and calf-hair. The bag has orange contrast details including a pull tab with the instruction "pull" whimsically printed on it.

The debut footwear piece was a thick-sole boot in snakeskin, black and camo printed leather. The boot features the "Style" logo printed in red.

Finally, the designer debuted sunglasses with multiple colorways including tortoiseshell and rose. The glasses carry the collection's branding which includes exposed serial numbers and contrast logos.

The inspiration for the collection, entitled "Public Figure," was the designer's playful interpretation of social media influencer culture. Accordingly, graphics in the collection include the words "influencer" and "public figure."

"If you buy a polo from Heron Preston you are an influencer," the designer jokes. "Who is to argue that?"

In addition to the FW18 core collection, Heron Preston presented works completed in partnership with Carhartt WIP and NASA. The designer partnered with NASA for the organization's 60th anniversary and used throwback logos to create a 3M nylon space jacket, a silver denim logo jacket, and a convertible backpack which can be worn as a fanny pack or tote bag.

Heron Preston's Carhartt capsule also debuted at the event. The Carhartt collection features a fanny pack, beanie, jacket, vest and pants, all treated and paint splattered for a worn look.

The event took place Wednesday, January 17th in Paris, France, with Bella Hadid and Virgil Abloh both in attendance.
