Crew Clothing appoints new finance chief

Fashion brand Crew Clothing has promoted Angharad Carter-Clout, currently serving as head of finance at the company, to finance director.

The appointment comes after Stuart Owens stepped down as finance boss at Crew Clothing last month and continues a management overhaul following the acquisition of the brand by Exquisite Apparel in December.

The sale prompted the departure of CEO Louise Barnes, who stepped down from the business at the end of 2017 and was replaced by David Butler last month.

Carter-Clout has been at the clothing retailer since 2016, joining as head of commercial finance before becoming head of finance last year.

Crew Clothing has also recently expanded its store estate with a new store in Cambridge. Inspired by casual coastal style, the brand has more than 80 stores and an e-commerce site.
