Footwear retailer Charles Clinkard is widening its retail reach by opening four new concessions in locations which are far from other existing Charles Clinkard sites.

Located in in Romsey and New Milton in Hampshire, Jersey, and the Isle of Man, the concessions join the brand’s retail portfolio of 36 stores and 7 concessions.

Charles Clinkard, managing director, said: “We’re delighted to add another four concessions to our growing portfolio, and in such diverse locations.

“We’re also thrilled to welcome new staff and to have been able to recruit from the previous concessions. Our employees are a vital part of our long-term success and their industry expertise and local knowledge will be a huge asset in each concession.”

The family-owned brand launched in 1924 and became established throughout the 1930s and 1940s. It said the new sites will help it increase its bottom line turnover and provide a solution to empty spaces in Britain’s high streets.

“As we continue to spread around the country from our North East base, I’m looking forward to identifying further opportunities for expansion in the future,” said Charles Clinkard.
