Banana Republic on Monday announced the formation of its first-ever men’s style council with NBA All-Star and brand ambassador Kevin Love, 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan, 2015-16 NBA Most Improved Player C.J. McCollum, and New York Yankees Shortstop Didi Gregorius.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius, and Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum comprise the first-ever Banana Republic Men's Style Council - Banana Republic

The Men’s Style Council expands on Banana Republic’s growing list of brand ambassadors that includes Olivia Palermo. The new campaign initiative also comes months after Banana Republic named Mark Breitbard as chief executive.

The male athletes will showcase the brand’s performance-driven menswear collections through a series of campaigns, engaging programs and personal appearances. For the first Men’s Style Council campaign, the four athletes will launch Banana Republic’s new Rapid Movement Chino, which will be available in stores globally and online in late July 2017.

"The Men's Style Council showcases some of the most dynamic and stylish athletes in sports today who exemplify the spirit of the men's collections we are designing at Banana Republic," said Lexi Tawes, Banana Republic SVP of Global Merchandising & Digital.

"Our customers admire the individual style of each accomplished player on and off the field and court. We are honored to work with these celebrated athletes and extend their personal style through our men's collections as they make each look their own."
