Dutch eyewear brand Ace & Tate has recently taken its total number of stores in the UK to three, after launching new locations in Bristol and Manchester.

The brand, which aims to sell “quality frames at a nice price”, opened its latest store in the heart of Bristol’s city centre this week. Located a stone’s throw away from Bristol Museum & Art Gallery and the University of Bristol, the shop interior pays homage to the city’s cultural heritage.

The space features clean surfaces and organic materials, as well as a neon light installation, designed by graphic designer and art director Hugh Frost and inspired by the form of MIDI signals used in the sampler hardware of the 1980s, 1990s.

Meanwhile, its Manchester store opened earlier this month at 21 Oldham Street. The boutique stocks a range of the brand’s prescription glasses and sunglasses and offers free eye tests, style consultations and fit adjustments.

The openings build on Ace & Tate’s first permanent opening in the UK last year. The accessories brand opened its debut UK location in London’s Seven Dials near Covent Garden.
