The giant Liverpool One shopping centre has a new tenant, indie fashion brand 7Liverrpool, which has opened a 1,200-sq-ft unit on Paradise Street. The brand was named after the seven streets that linked to Liverpool’s port 800 years ago.

7Liverpool's unusual design aims to banish bland interiors

7Liverpool sells mainly premium and high-end men’s footwear and apparel online from a number of brands including Adidas Originals, Kenzo, Android Homme and Mason Garments. This is its first store.

Mall operator Grosvenor Europe spokesman Miles Dunnett said the opening is an important one for the centre and helps to boost its fashion offer.

Grosvenor is clearly targeting fashion and has seen a number of new tenants there in recent months, including Jack Wolfskin and Foot Asylum. New stores from Guess, Rolex and Urban Decay also due to open by Christmas or early next year.

7Liverpool buying director Jack Spellacy said the company had aimed to “set a new precedent” in terms of the product offering, as well as the “space aesthetic and shopping experience,” adding that there were too many bland stores.

The store has an unusual design with a tube effect reinforced by curved shelving around the walls.
